What a fantastic week it has been at the nursery! Our children have been busy engaging in activities that sparked their imagination, encouraged hands-on learning, and fostered creativity.
The highlight of the week was an exciting outing to Fortune Street Park. The children developed their gross motor skills by climbing on the frames, pushing swings, and playing energetically in the fresh air. Afterward, they enjoyed a delicious snack picnic, making the outing even more special.
The Hatchlings explored sensory activities inspired by space, playing with stars and lights, while also delving into a South American rainforest adventure, where they enacted a toy snake gobbling up toy animals. To enrich their experience further, they enjoyed an educational outing to Charterhouse Chapel and Museum, discovering history in an engaging way.
The Blue Dragons had a wonderful time developing their fine motor skills through an activity where they used tweezers to pick up number blocks. This playful approach to early numeracy was both fun and rewarding.
As an early years education and childcare institution, we put great value on helping children in need.
This is why we partnered with Little Village, an organization that helps babies and young children living in poverty all across London.

Meanwhile, the Dragon Flights were immersed in learning about Brazil, South America's largest country. They created the Brazilian flag using colorful paper shapes, strengthening their understanding of patterns and design. The group also focused on the letter “E,” bringing the story of Elmer to life by crafting their own vibrant Elmer artwork. To top it off, they explored numbers 1–10 by building colorful cities with blocks, combining creativity with foundational math skills.
This week’s extra-curricular activities were equally enriching. During Molly Mindfulness, the children embarked on a pirate adventure, blending yoga and mindfulness for a fun and relaxing session.
Lucy Sparkles brought music and movement into their day, adding rhythm and joy!
While Sporty Minis helped the children practice their balancing and coordination skills, building physical confidence and agility.
Looking ahead, next week promises to be just as exciting. We will celebrate Antarctica Day on December 1st and National Volunteer Day on December 5th.
Our new regional theme will take the children on a journey to Scandinavia, exploring its unique culture and traditions.
On Friday, December 6th, we’ll come together for a festive Christmas lunch with all the children and staff. To add to the holiday excitement, we’re planning a magical trip to One Bishopsgate Plaza to see London’s tallest Christmas tree, standing at an awe-inspiring 67 feet!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making our nursery such a vibrant and joyful place for children to learn and grow. We look forward to sharing more memorable moments with you in the coming weeks.
