If you, like us, look beyond borders we think it's important to celebrate landmark festivals throughout the year to help our children learn about the people's of the world....

Our Monthly Festivals

Each month, we have a regional focus to help our children interrogate the culture and landscape of a particular part of the world. But we also pepper our month with various international celebrations, typically those organised and promoted by Unesco as days that aim to promote peace, understanding and companionship between the peoples of the world. Those are values that we hold dear within our school and so we use these international festivals to teach the children about global campaigns, they origins and what they can achieve together to address some of the world's wrongs...

In March, we have multiple religious festivals from the Abramic traditions as we move into the traditional period of fasting for Ramadan and Lent. But we also have World Book Day, International Womens Day, World Wildlife Day and Science Week.

In April, we have the end of the period of fasting that is embodied in Lent, Ramadan and Passover to the celebrations of Eid and Easter. Oh and April Fools Day, World Health Day, World Heritage Week, and World Autism Day as well!

September is one of the busiest months for international festivals, as the international community returns from its summer holidays. We have world gratitude day, International Day of Peace, World First Aid Day; International Literacy Day and National Read a Book Day and more!

We don't just satisfy ourselves with trips to the park even if St James' Park is rather lovely. We aim to take our children on excursions no other nursery can provide. From Buckingham Palace, through to Westminster Abbey, Parliament through to the Southbank, we want to immerse our children in th rich cultural heritage and history central London has to offer.

Free Childcare

30 Hours Free Childcare

Currently a subsidy only offered to 3-4 yr old children and only for the term after they turn three, the 30 hours free childcare offer is available to working families where both parents are earning more than £167 a week but do not earn, individually, more than £100k p.a. each. The good news is that the (current) government is offering 30 hours free childcare to 2 year olds from this September (2024) and for 9 month old babies from September 2025

15 Hours Free Childcare

Currently a subsidy only offered to 3-4 yr old children and only for the term after they turn three, the 15 hours free childcare offer is available to all families, irrespective of their financial background. The (current) government is extending the 15 hours free childcare offer to two year old children from April 2024. All we need from you is a termly parent declaration signed and delivered to us to secure your subsidy from the council. Note the hourly rates change from council to council
