Our story

We go beyond childcare. We are early years developmental specialists.

The world our children will inherit doesn't need passive learners. It needs culturally fluent, emotionally intelligent, resilient young people — curious enough to ask the hard questions and confident enough to live with the uncertain answers.Those qualities aren't taught in primary school. They aren't tested at GCSE. They are built in the earliest years of a child's life, in the moments most people call childcare.We call them something else entirely.

Before school, before careers, children are already becoming who they'll be. At Hatching Dragons, we build everything around the first five years.

Character, Cognition and Culture — the thread that runs through everything. Every milestone, every observation, every interaction is understood through the lens of who this child is becoming, how they are thinking and how they are relating to the world around them

A global learning journey

Children explore a different country through stories, traditions, music, language, celebrations and conversation. Our much-loved World Food Day brings these experiences to life, introducing children to flavours, ingredients and cuisines from around the globe prepared by our in-house Head Chef, as they discover how people live, learn and celebrate in different parts of the world.

It takes a village. We meant it structurally. Our settings only work because everyone in them is working together. Practitioners. Parents. Families. All of us, united around the same children, the same goals and the same commitment to getting this right.

Good food is good education

Mealtimes are about far more than nutrition alone. They are opportunities for discovery, conversation, confidence-building and cultural exploration. We believe children develop positive lifelong relationships with food when they are encouraged to explore new flavours, textures and experiences from an early age
